TRADE TERMS & CONDITIONS(updated Mar 2012)


Terms: Strictly 30 days Nett. We may assign a credit limit at our discretion.


Returns:


Back in 2007, we sent out a letter regarding returns/delivery discrepancies, outlining the terms of business. It has become apparent that  these terms are not always being adhered to and there are now an increasing minority of cases where the system is being abused, eg. stock over 1 year old return for full credit, used parts being returned as new etc.

As from 1st October 2011 all items must be returned within 3 weeks of purchase in the original, undamaged packaging. They should include a returns note with the original invoice number so that we can identify where the return has come from.


Any later returns will have a 25% restocking charge levied.No credit will be given for items returned 6 weeks after the initial Invoice was issued.

(but see below regarding none or out of stock items)


Where items are out of stock and are ordered in by ourselves and then despatched, there will be a restocking fee of 25%, should the goods be returned for any reason, even within the normal 3 week period. This is due to the restocking charge imposed on us by the manufacturers. Triton as an example charge us a 25% restocking charge and that does not take into account our postage costs from them and also out to you.


There will be no refund of postage for items wrongly ordered, or where your customer has not returned to collect goods. Thus we suggest you take a deposit of at least 25% to cover your expenses. This also applies where you are not sure about the part you are ordering. We have comprehensive diagrams on this site and individual photos of parts on our retail site at www.srpshowerparts.com to assist you in selecting the correct parts.


NOTE: If you return items then it is your responsibility should we not receive them, we send items over £150 by recorded/sign-able Business Post so we have evidence of delivery, and suggest you do likewise as we cannot credit note for goods we do not receive back. Likewise if you return items by 1st class mail there is no guarantee that we will receive them and thus we only suggest  this for lower value items where you can stand the loss should it arise.


As of March 2012, Business Post costs us a minimum of £8.62 + VAT per parcel for lower weights and there is a monthly fuel surcharge of £113 + vat on top. Royal Mail Packet Post has increased in April 2012 and VAT has been added, effectively adding over 55% to our postage costs.


Damaged/Short Delivery:


Any damaged or short deliveries MUST be notified within 3 days of delivery.


Non-Delivery:


All non-deliveries MUST be notified within 7 days of placing your order.


Damaged, short or non-deliveries that we are not notified of in the required time scale will be chargeable as per the invoice.


Post:


We will continue to offer 1st class mail post at £2.50+vat for the present time. Recorded and business post may incur an extra charge, which will be intimated at the time of ordering depending on the weight /value of the despatched goods. Generally goods ordered before 3.45pm will be despatched the same day for Royal Mail and before 3.00pm for Business Post (larger items)


Usually individual expensive items (over £150) are sent business post and often P & P is free, however if these items are returned then the purchaser is liable for return postage and there will be a deduction in the credit note of £10.00 to cover our initial business post. Note as above that you will be responsible for the method of return postage and suggest some form of recordable/signed for postage.
